You are correct. The leading cosmetics companies that specialize in polish are
producing more color options to complement their seasonal palettes. Also,
companies like O.P.I. who manufacture high-quality polishes actually create
"collections" for the seasons. The summer trends for polish tend to be towards
soft shell pink, tangerine, and beige shades. A nude color with a glossy buff is
also popular. These colors complement the espadrilles, or the bronze and golden
stones on sandals, and earthy corked and platform shoes that are popular this
summer.
Some women like to always use their "signature" color, but, it is fun to change
your color according to the seasons. Also, remember that it is not necessary to
match your fingernails to you toenails. Many women choose a light almost sheer
pink or beige for their fingers as those colors don't show chipping as much as a
bright color. Try more fashion colors on your toes--have fun!—
