Laurie J. Polis, M.D.
Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon; Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, American Society for Dermatological Surgery, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Teaching Attending at Beth Israel Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition to her MD, she holds an RN degree, and a license in Acupuncture for research.
Dr. Laurie Polis is the Director of Dermatological Services at the Soho Skin and Laser Dermatology Group. She is also Director of the Soho Integrative Healthcare Group. This comprehensive Medical and Aesthetics center provides services from over 12 ABMS-recognized Medical and Surgical specialties, as well as Alternative and Complementary Medicine. Dr. Polis also serves as Dermatology Advisor to the onsite Mezzanine Aesthetic Center at the 11,000 square foot newly renovated state-of-the-art complex in the heart of Soho in downtown Manhattan.
Dr. Polis is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon who graduated medical school at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and completed Dermatology Specialty training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She completed additional training in Derma-pathology from New York University Medical Center and was certified in Laser Surgery at Harvard University.
Dr. Polis serves on the teaching faculties of several major teaching institutions including Beth Israel, Mount Sinai, and Albert Einstein Medical Centers, where she has also held the position of Assistant Professor of Dermatology. She teaches the resident dermatologists both general dermatology and the latest techniques in facial rejuvenation and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Polis is well known for her work in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology and is frequently quoted in the media and on TV. She has established an excellent reputation and practice based on word of mouth, physician and patient referrals, media coverage and recommendations. Her patient base includes multiple well-known figures of stage, screen, fashion modeling and the motion picture industry.
Dr. Polis also has served as consultant and lecturer for multiple skin care corporations including Collagen Aesthetics Corporation, Skinceuticals (Vitamin C) Corporation, Rejuveness (Scar Reduction) Corporation, Diamond Microdermabrasion Systems, Skinpolish skincare systems, Skintellect skincare systems, and others.
