Paula Moynahan, M.D.
Dr. Paula Moynahan is a double board certified plastic surgeon and is the Director of the Institute of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery with offices at 800 Fifth Avenue New York, New York and Waterbury Connecticut.
Dr. Moynahan has been in the private practice of Cosmetic Surgery for over twenty five years. She was the first woman elected to the Connecticut Society of Plastic Surgeons and has been President and Past President of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Moynahan is well known for her philanthropic activities . The Pakistan League of America awarded her their prestigious Appreciation Award in honor of her efforts in treating congenital defects, burn wounds and scars of the women and children in Pakistani villages.
Dr. Moynahan was also a member of the " Women's Physician Delegation to the People's Republic of China, Citizen - Ambassador Program. " She has hosted he Pajama Program, that benefits underprivileged children in the United States,
Afghanistan and other foreign countries.. She is a member of the board of trustees of Quinnipiac University and is included in Castle Connolly, " Top Doctors of America, " Guide to America's Top Surgeons, America's Registry of Outstanding Professions and Strathmore's Who's Who.
" Dr. Paula Moynahan's Guide to Cosmetic Surgery for Women, " written for the general public was published by Crown. She has written articles and has been published in scientific literature. In 2005 she was named one of the top Irish Americans of the Year - The Best and the Brightest in America.
Dr. Moynahan is well known for her involvement in animal rescue and finding caring homes for cats, dogs and horses.
